We just rolled back into town last night after having been in Washington DC for a quick spring break trip. Twelve hours in the car there, twelve hours back.
The Japanese cherry blossoms were beautiful, we walked miles and miles each day, and despite my right shin cramping into a knot after an 8-mile stroll (who knew a shin could even cramp?), we were all better off for the exercise. From the top of the Washington Monument, to the chambers of the House and the Senate in the Capitol, we explored it all.
And now we’re back home, and that, too, feels lovely.
It’s time to go have a cup of coffee with my guy and favorite pooch by my side, and then hide some Easter eggs.
Have a wonderful and blessed Easter!
